I recently accepted a position at a company doing exactly what I love. I don’t want to give away too many details just yet but I will have those forthcoming in the next couple of months. It is amazing how fast the day goes by when you are doing what makes your heart happy.
I was sad to leave my old job but glad to move on to make nearly double what I was making before and have the opportunity to do what I love for a living.
My goal last month was to pay off my student loan. I managed to pay it down to $2490.00.
I fell shy of my goal because of personal issues and changing of jobs. I thought I was going to go a few weeks without a check, so I built up money to cover that. Dave Ramsey says if you know a storm is coming you need to stop paying down your debt and build up your savings.
Come to find out I will receive my last check from my old job that will include my vacation days I cashed out and I will receive my first check from my new job on the same day. So I will take the opportunity to pay off my student loan. I
t will feel so good to get that burden off of my back. I have had student loan since 2001. Old Sallie Mae is moving out of my spare bedroom.
It stinks to take that handful of cash and send it in on that loan but it will give us a relief of that burden that weighs on our minds.

Thanks! I am so excited! Just one more debt to go after Sallie Mae moves out!!
I was laying in bed this morning trying to figure out a way to be completely debt free before the end of 2007 and I just don’t think it will be possible unless I sell my car. With gas prices the way they are, I am sure no one will buy it!!
